show info

Inspired by the 1940′s, Shadowbox Live’s newest Stage 2 production, Torch Songs, reminds us all that the bygone era of film noir and sophistication hasn’t completely disappeared. The evening begins with Snow Angel by Lewis J. Carlino, a one act play telling the tragic story of a man trying to recreate a past he can’t leave behind. Monologues, dramatic shorts, and an array of heartfelt love songs round out the production, making Torch Songs a touching and unforgettable Wednesday night.

Rick Brown, NakedSunfish.com

"Torch Songs is a wonderfully poignant and moving production. It reminds us that we all anguish together in the present, or the tomorrow … that we are all together in this world. And despite any adversity, we can reach out to each other."→ read the full article
